Paradise Found: The San Francisco Fall Show

COUPAR found paradise at this year's 43rd The San Francisco Fall Show, October 16-19, with the Opening Night Gala held on October 15. The theme of global exotica did not disappoint, beginning at the Grand Entry Hall of Fort Mason's Festival Pavilion, where Four Designer Vignettes set the show's tone. De Gournay created tropical-inspired wallcoverings for design firms David Kleinberg Design Associates, Rinfret, Ltd., Tom Scheerer Inc., and Amy Weaver Design. The vignettes provided the perfect backdrop of flora and fauna for the Gala guests who resembled birds of paradise. It was The White Lotus sans the murder.

Designer Suzanne Tucker of Tucker & Marks chaired the annual event. It is the West Coast's leading international art, antiques, and design fair, showcasing over 40 top dealers from North America and beyond who offer a range of fine and decorative arts representing all styles and periods, including furniture, rugs, ceramics, objets d'art, paintings, photography, works on paper, ethnographic art, books, precious metals, and jewelry. Originally known as "The San Francisco Fall Antiques Show," with an emphasis on pieces that were over 100 years old, it has since evolved to include more contemporary examples.
